All of our drivers are experienced drivers fully conversant in various methods of handling and restraining loads to ensure a safe and timely delivery of all loads. We have our own fully equipped garage on site with a staff of fully qualified, time served mechanics who offer a 24 hour service to maintain our fleet of vehicles and trailers to the highest standards. The garage is also a VOSA Test Station with an 18m testing bay.
Maurice Hill Transport Limited is associated with many blue chip companies and through these companies has recently gained large contracts for work on the upcoming London Olymics. Other contracts have ensured us work delivering to sites throughout the UK.
In 1995 our company opened a Rail Terminal at Burton on Trent in Staffordshire, concentrating on removing lorry miles from the road on to rail for the bulk of the journey. Vehicles based at the terminal complete the journey to local factories by road. The terminal proved to be such a success that we opened a second terminal in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. As the terminals grew a separate company was formed to run them, Road and Rail Limited. This company is still owned by Maurice Hill and Hill family. |
